Fortify frequently asked questions
Can I add or remove a workout?
Not right now. The program of 4 workouts is designed to be repeated on whatever timeline suits you, it's not necessarily meant to be completed weekly. So if you work out twice a week you'll cycle through the program every 2 weeks, and if you workout 3 times a week you'll complete the program every ~10 days. You will still get great full-body coverage on 2 or 3 workouts a week, providing you do the workouts in order.
Why are the rest periods so long?
The rest periods are there to help you recover well enough to lift with good form and enough intensity on the next set. For heavier compound movements, longer rests usually lead to better performance, better progress, lower injury risk and less technique breakdown than rushing between sets. However, you can adjust the rest time by tapping on it if you wish.
How do I know what weight to select for my assessment set?
Choose a weight that feels challenging but still lets you move with control and good technique. You should finish the set feeling like you had 2 reps left in reserve. Record your reps and effort and Fortify will suggest a weight for the next set.
How do I superset exercises in my workout?
Research shows rest between sets reduces fatigue and injury risk. For this reason, Fortify doesn't use supersets.
When do the workouts change?
Fortify tracks how many times you've completed each workout and will prompt you to refresh it after completing it 8 times.
